Under the Stars in Cornwall

We spent a good part of our summer holiday on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. Lizard is the southernmost point of the mainland British Isles and, lacking major settlements, enjoys beautiful starry skies. Unfortunately our stay there coincided with the full moon and that ruined the effect a bit. I had to wait a couple of days when the moon rose late enough for the sky to become dark.

Both images were shot with a 28mm focal lenghth, 30s each frame at ISO 6400 and stitched later in Hugin. Image processing was done in Darktable. White balance was set to 3800K.
