Everything is Connected

Everything is Connected, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, UK
It took us a while to get there, definitely some sort of nice weather is more than welcome. It is a must, not only for modern sculpture enthusiasts. If names like Henry Moore, Andy Goldsworthy, Anthony Caro or Abakanowicz ring no bells to you the park itself is such a beautiful place to visit. We haven't had time to visit all of the park. Of what we have seen this is one of my favourites.

Me and sleeping Malina. Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
Here I am, relieved of the camera ;) It was quite a walk, in such circumstances there's no democracy - though the arms feel like failing the mind commands. Surprisingly it works. I have carried each of my children on different occasions over astonishingly long distances.

I am in love with that building (and got myself a regular visitor pass).

Hope Valley, Peak District

I made this panorama on that evening we were blessed with nature's spectacular show. Three frames were developed in Darktable, an open source RAW processing software, with identical settings and stitched in Hugin, with some additional postprocessing in Darktable again. The peaks from right to left are: Win Hill, Lose Hill then Back Tor and a faint silhouette of Mam Tor against the Rushup Edge. Far back at the horizon is Kinder Scout. The foreground rocks are Stanage Edge itself where this pano was made from. You can view and download the hi-res panorama by clicking on the image below. Enjoy.
