I read only yesterday in a book: "For if we are fragile, we are also remarkably resilient". This shot somehow seems to be telling me the same.
A large portion of the former steelworks in Voelklingen is left for the nature to take back. Piranesi's etchings of rediscovered ancient Rome come to mind immediately.
