Last weekend we were camping in the Lake District in Buttermere. The weather was perfect. Great time for the kids to unwind after the school year. We were taking our time and spent most of it swimming in the lake, playing with pebbles on the beach and making bonfires in the evening.
One night I sneaked out to photograph the stars, the sky was very clear but at this time of year there is no astronomical twilight and you cannot take full advantage of the dark skies here.
